A study published in the Journal of Nutrition and Metabolism suggests, larger ingestion of MSG leads to a greater risk of getting metabolic syndrome – a group of issues such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, and excess body fat.

MSG is “a silent killer that’s worse than alcohol, nicotine, and drugs is likely lurking in your kitchen cabinets and even your child’s school cafeteria.”

The FDA identifies MSG as ‘generally recognized as safe,’ there happen to be a wide range of reports of unfavorable side effects from MSG consumption more than the years.

Some other health effects of Ajinomoto include

  1. high blood pressure
  2. abdominal problems
  3. thyroid dysfunctions
  4. type 2 diabetes
  5. obesity
  6. asthma
  7. hormonal imbalance
  8. autism
  9. food allergies
  10. retina damage.

Life is too short to pay such high prices for satisfying taste buds.

    Interesting article on monosodium glutamate, Make obesity for many people, the disfunction of Thyroid, high blood pressure is commonly found in my people these days, under weight, over weight or normal weight , they used it for making food more delicious without taking in account the person who purchase the food with MSG can suffer from various disease.

    So brilliant are those who eat home made food and read the pack ingredients properly before purchasing it , avoid food with MSG inside the products.
